This rapid expansion has considerably increased the complexity of managing the vehicle fleet, <strong>which currently comprises 120 vehicles including 80% commercial vehicles <\/strong>(Trafic, Kangoo, Clio Soci\u00e9t\u00e9) and <strong>20% company vehicles<\/strong> (Renault, Tesla, Skoda, etc.).  <\/p>\n\n<p>  Prior to 2023, <strong>we managed the fleet using an Excel file<\/strong>, manually extracting data from supplier applications in order to track expenditure on fuel, electronic toll collection and maintenance.  <\/p>\n\n<p><em>\u201cExcel was no longer sufficient: we wasted too much time extracting, cross-referencing and sorting data. We needed to structure and digitise all of our processes, including vehicle fleet functions.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why are conventional tools no longer sufficient to manage a growing fleet?<\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>Disconnected tools and limited management functions<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p>Despite using telematic tools and Intermarch\u00e9 fuel applications, several limitations remained:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No direct link between certain alerts, e.g. consumption\/actual tank volumes  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Difficulty cross-referencing data on speeding, warnings and parking charges  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Management broken down between several parties (suppliers, agencies, internal services)  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe needed a tool offering connectors to our suppliers to allow us to centralise information and automate reporting.\u201d   <\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can group-wide fleet management software be deployed effectively?<\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>Setting up GAC Car Fleet as part of a structured process<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p>The project was broken down into two key phases:  <\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Installation and supplier connectors  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>Setting up <strong>automatic connectors with the various suppliers<\/strong> (fuel, electronic toll collection, financing) for seamless invoice imports.  <\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Training and personalised support  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p><strong>Four half-days of distance learning<\/strong> between July and November, with <strong>weekly monitoring<\/strong> by a GAC referent.  <\/p>\n\n<p><em>\u201cThe GAC team supported us every step of the way. Thanks to their support, we were able to customise the dashboard to meet our needs from the very outset.\u201d   <\/em><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What changes can a centralised tool bring for managers on a day-to-day basis?  <\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>Tangible results: visibility, time savings and responsiveness<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p>GAC Car Fleet is now a <strong>central management tool for the MCE Group<\/strong>. It allows:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>real-time monitoring of fleet status (consumption, offences, etc.);  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>simplified management of awareness campaigns (speeding, roadworthiness test reminders, etc.);  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>significant time savings identifying drivers <a href=\"https:\/\/carfleet.dev1.overscan.io\/solutions\/logiciel-gestion-des-infractions\/\">(ANTAI); <\/a> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>improved maintenance planning thanks to reminders.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><em>\u201cOur employees will be able to receive information on due dates for servicing, roadworthiness tests, etc. directly on their phones.\u201d  <\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can you involve the whole company in a shared fleet management drive?  <\/h2>\n\n<p>The tool is gradually being rolled out in a number of departments: central management, network management, finance, accounting, HR, purchasing, etc. It is also being rolled out at the various regional branches.  <\/p>\n\n<p><em>\u201cEveryone will have access to information within their assigned scope: providing real leverage for autonomy and responsiveness.\u201d   <\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are the next challenges for ensuring a better managed and more sustainable fleet?<\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>A challenge for the future  <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p>With its fleet still predominantly diesel, MCE is already looking to the future.
