An extensive, multi-site, multi-service fleet<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The French Red Cross manages a diverse and complex fleet spread across numerous structures and adapted to a variety of missions. For everyday and logistical use: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Small city cars (Clio, Twingo, 208, etc.); <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    • Commercial vehicles (Kangoo, 5-seater Partner); <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      • Vehicles designed to transport persons with reduced mobility; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        • Ambulances and mobile workshops for outreach and specialist work. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          \u201c95% of our fleet is used as service vehicles and assigned or shared as required.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          A strategic imperative: centralising and professionalising fleet management. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Prior to switching over to GAC Car Fleet, the Red Cross had no nationwide centralised solution. Each entity managed its fleet independently, using its own Excel files, local practices and software developed in-house. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \u201cWe had no overview of fleet data. It was impossible to know exactly how many vehicles were on the road throughout the country.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Thanks to GAC Car Fleet, we were able to structure and modernise the management of our vehicle fleet: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Deployment began in 2023 with two pilot regions (500 vehicles). In April 2024, the solution was extended to all structures with employees. We are currently looking into integrating the voluntary network, aiming to ensure exhaustive coverage as soon as possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                The Red Cross reviewed its Car Policy as part of its commitment to environmental responsibility, incorporating catalogues of internal combustion and electric vehicles designed according to actual uses observed in the field. This approach aims to streamline the fleet, encourage progressive electrification and keep operating costs under control. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                \u201cWe have produced dual-entry vehicle catalogues – internal combustion and electric vehicles – to guide structures towards responsible and appropriate choices.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                The detailed collection of driving data, mileage monitoring and personalised alerts all assist with decision-making, ensuring that the selected vehicles match fuel efficiency and performance objectives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                        With over 1,400 users, the Red Cross has instigated a collective endeavour regarding fleet management. Webinars, GAC support materials, centralised requests: every attempt is being made to ensure consistent, shared management methods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
